SHIP BOTTOM, NJ – In January, it was reported that the owner and developer of three distinctive properties in Stafford and LBI was planning to erect a 105 room Victorian style hotel at the former site of the Quarter Deck Inn at the entrance to Long Beach Island in Ship Bottom.
The plans were approved a few years ago for the large hotel but the owner decided to take a relaxed approach and renovate the old Quarterdeck building and develop it into the Stateroom. The Stateroom is a beautiful wedding and banquet facility that has operated for a new of years.
That is all about to change quickly. The Stateroom will be demolished in the next few weeks to make way for the construction of Hotel LBI. Area contractor Seminole Construction will demolish the building and prepare the site for construction.
